Come sopravvivere all’Alzheimer? Cosa rimane della vita, dell’amore, della normalità quando si resta soli?

 

La ricerca di una risposta a questi temi ha ispirato il nuovo romanzo di Alberto Zavatta, “MEMO: un’indimenticabile storia di Alzheimer”, distribuito sulla piattaforma Kindle Direct Publishing/Amazon in formato digitale e cartaceo (hard cover o paperback) per il mercato italiano. L’edizione in lingua inglese sarà presto disponibile sul mercato internazionale.

 

L’autore esplora la dimensione della malattia di Alzheimer con eleganza e delicatezza, grazie a una scrittura spesso ‘per immagini’ che evoca la sofferenza senza mai drammatizzarla.

 

MEMO ripercorre la storia di un uomo oramai ottantenne che incontra la sua vera solitudine, e esplora per la prima volta la sua dimensione più intima attraverso la graduale e inarrestabile perdita di memoria della moglie. Il personaggio dell’uomo assume nel corso degli eventi una sua consistenza ‘per sottrazione’, ovvero attraverso il riconoscimento del non compiuto, del non compreso, dell’opportunità mancata.

 

La diagnosi di Alzheimer è il primo passo verso una nuova consapevolezza e conduce all’analisi di una vita narrata per momenti, per sprazzi, per evocazioni, in una sorta di flusso di coscienza in cui non ci sono più né nomi né luoghi. Rimossi, non più utili. Anche il tempo diventa una dimensione fluida, un incastro elastico che è un pretesto per collocare una vicenda che non sempre ha una cronologia sequenziale, canonica. Il silenzio amplifica la memoria che, invece, in lui permane, presente e cruda.

L’autore:

Alberto nasce a Monza nel 1970.

Alberto Zavatta had previously participated in USAID DAI Women in the Economy project (WIE) is a USAID-funded program. It partners with Afghan women, with women-owned businesses or businesses that employ at least thirty percent women.

USAID DAI Women in the Economy project works with job seekers, businesses, financial and training institutions, and many other stakeholders. WIE’s paramount goal is to help Afghan women make investments in their own success and enter the mainstream Afghan national economy.

Alberto Zavatta – Inspiring the next you directed and created the new brand and packaging image of ZIBA FOODS. Designer Olesya Panasyugina was in charge of the artistic direction.

It is a fresh and contemporary visual approach. Colours are vivid and combine with a modern food illustration. The design focuses on the communication of the values of healthy nutrients ​​and crunchy taste of the dried fruits.


Ziba means “beautiful”

Ziba Foods is an artisanal nut and dried fruit company. They provide health conscious consumers with delicious nutrient-dense, sustainably grown and socially responsible food sources.
